ABOUT

Jillian Ashlock was born and raised in St. Joseph, Missouri. She currently resides in Kansas City, Kansas alongside her husband of 5 years, her 1-year-old son, and her beloved Border Collie.
​
Jillian is incredibly grateful to be able to share the beautiful gift of art with others, and sincerely thanks those who take some time to check out what she, and her art, are about.
EXPERIENCE
​
Jillian is self-taught and has no formal art education experience. She has learned her craft through repetition, and, like many artists, referencing real life examples to achieve the utmost accuracy in her work.
SKILLS
​
Jillian's strongest skills are in drawing realism and ink linework. She is most familiar with graphite pencils, colored pencils, ink pens, and acrylic paint, but has been experimenting more with other mediums such as gouache, oil paint, and mixed media pieces.
​
Animals are her favorite and most popular subject to draw, followed by humans, then other living/organic matter such as flowers and plants.
